ACM-SIGUCCS stands for The Association Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on University and College Computing Services it is an international group of professionals involved in the support of information technology at institutions of higher education. In October IT Training & Education from Indiana University received awards for two training videos at the Fall ACM-SIGUCCS Conference in St. Here are some M119 and M118 resources to give you an idea of what you need to be comfortable with. You can learn to use IU’s Oncourse Reorder Tools feature, or get training on how to conduct a Tandberg videoconference, by watching IU IT Training and Education’s award-winning tutorials. You have taken at least pre-calculus in high school? You can avoid finite at IUB by taking it at a cc or elsewhere and transferring the credit to IU. You will need math and Excel at a pretty high proficiency level in your Icore finance class and certainly in most of your upper-level finance classes. If you plan to major in finance, you should be pretty comfortable with roughly a “calculus 1” level of math. You can find lists of what they accept and from what schools on the Credit Transfer Service website. Sure, credits that you earn in the summer before starting at IUB can be transferred to IUB if IUB accepts them. ![]() You must take a minimum number of courses on the IUB campus. Read the requirements to get accepted to Kelley very carefully. Use the Credit Transfer Service to find classes that will transfer to IUB. It is still a difficult class, but if you immerse yourself in past departmental A100 exams, you should be able to identify the tricky questions that characterize the A100 exams. A100 is not the weed-out class that it was a few years ago. You must take G202 and A100 if you follow this plan. If you don’t have credit for E201 before starting at IUB, then you can’t use this strategy, as you will have to substitute G202 for a much more demanding class from the third list. If you can take only one class prior to starting at IUB, make sure that you take E201, as credit for E201 is required for you to take G202. Get all solid B’s and above, and you are GUARANTEED admission to Kelley. ![]() You will come in with at least six credits then take only 12 (minimum for full-time status) or so credits freshman year of the above highlighted classes and fill the rest of your schedule with the easiest classes you can find. Take W131 and E201 (AP or community college) prior to starting at IUB (finite, too, if you can find a transferable equivalent or just save it for after you get accepted to Kelley). It probably seriously drags down the overall gpa for M119 when students who should be taking it instead of M211 are removed from the pool of possible M119 gpa scores. M119 has a low solid B rate, but that is probably because hundreds of students that should be taking M119 are taking M211 instead. Do not take M211 instead of M119, no matter what your adviser recommends and regardless of how high you score on the math placement test. A201 and A202 are tough grading classes and difficult for many freshmen E201 and E202: these are classes with giant sections and very difficult departmental mid-terms and finals ![]() – W131: this class is taught by graduate students, and many are unfair graders Stay away from the following courses at IUB take them at a community college or AFTER being accepted to Kelley: Choose one additional option from this list: ENG-W 131*, BUS-C 104, BUS-C 204, BUS-L 201, or BUS-G202 AND BUS-D270Ĭhoose two additional options from this list: BUS-A 201, BUS-A 202, ECON-E 201, ECON-E 202, MATH-M 118, MATH-M 119, ECON-E 370*, OR BUS-A 100 AND BUS-G 202
